Facial sauna is a skincare process that cleanses the skin by using steam to open up the pores. It’s one of those steps that looks like “it’s not necessary” but you will feel good when you get facial steam, says the skincare aficionados. Benefits of facial sauna.
Like I said earlier, it opens up your pores to loosen any gunk, it softens any blackhead so that it can be easily removed.

When your pores are opened acne-causing bacteria, dead skin cells, trapped sebum are released.
Steam increases oil production which further adds hydration to the skin.
It promotes blood circulation
When you use steam on your face, you sweat more, and this increases perspiration(sweating) further enlarges the blood vessels, thus increasing circulation of blood which will nourish the skin and deliver oxygen to the skin.

You don’t need to break the bank to get a facial sauna. Although there are lots of facial steamers out there, but who worry when you can DIY at home using items available.
If you have sensitive skin or rosacea then this is not for you because it can cause irritation and drying for this particular skin type. Whether you are eligible for a facial sauna or not, don’t get too close to the steam to avoid getting burnt.
How to do a facial steaming at home.
The first thing to do is to cleanse your face with an exfoliating cleanser so that the dirt on your skin don’t settle into your soon to be opened pores.
Bring 4-5 cups of water to a boil.
Add herbs to the water, if you don’t have herbs you can use a green tea bag, that works well.
Let it simmer for 3-4mins, pour in a bowl, then add few drops of essential oils like lavender oil. If you don’t have all these don’t bother yourself.
Drape a towel over your head and the bowl, hold your face 6inches above the water, you don’t want to get burnt.
Steam your face for 6mins.
After that, rinse your face with lukewarm water. Don’t rub, just pat dry with a towel. Apply your skincare products as your pores are opened and clean after a facial steam, your skin will reap the benefits of the products better. Then give your face a massage.
Do a facial sauna once a week and not daily.
